You will become part of the Digitalization Benelux Team in Ghent that provides standard workplace support, IT Point operations, IT Project support and application owner support for business specific applications.
The team works according to the standard GD support model, in close alignment with the local IBP, product owners, application owners, technical support divisions & external strategic suppliers.

Your tasks include the following activities :

Coordinate ongoing support :

You are the SPOC on your locations for all IT-related strategic partners of the client (both GD and external partners) that deliver standardized desktop services, network infrastructure, datacenter infrastructure and unified communications.
You will follow up and steer ongoing activities on a high level like VIP support, IT on- and offboarding and coordination of external partner site interventions.
You will drive forward solutions during escalations, high impact incidents, crisis situations and complex cross-functional issues, using your peers within the organization, including complaint management, incident management and local strategic business partners.
Coordinate application owner support and consultancy or demand requests from users, technical teams, and application owners.
You will identify bottlenecks and in alignment with your Digitalization Benelux colleagues and coordinate the implementation of improvements. Your discussion partners are your Benelux and EMEA team colleagues, product owners, internal and external technical support teams, and local IBPs.

Application owner support, technical contact role and local on-site support for systems and services (both tailor-made and external) :

You and your team will take responsibility of the technical contact role and act as application owner SPOC for several local tailor-made systems and services.
You maintain close collaboration with the application owners, key users, and application specialists. Examples are building automation systems, access control system, TopDesk and digital signage.
You will have a shared responsibility with the application owner to follow up, steer and coordinate the operation of these applications within the standardized BASF IT landscape.
You deliver consultancy and advocacy for your peers in the organization, actively participate in maintaining the stable operation of the application, identifying service improvement opportunities, coordinate incidents, and lead the implementation of new demands.

Coordinate execution of local and central projects :

The Digitalization Benelux team is supporting a high number of projects, both local (e.g., the installation of a customized solution) and central (e.g., support local implementation for global rollouts). You will assist your GD colleagues by providing consultancy towards the IBP for solutions and will follow-up & coordinate ongoing projects within the team and towards the IBP. Occasionally, you will participate in the actual execution of some projects.

Support the general coordination of the local on-site support team :

You will support the coordination towards the employees of the local on-site support team. (currently 2 contractors), together with an experienced GD employee.
You will join the bi-weekly IT status meetings with the local stakeholders and RBPS Benelux representatives.
